Holy Theotokos Monastery follows the Julian (old style) Calendar and is dedicated to the Joy of All That Sorrow Icon of the Mother of God. The monastery has existed since 1979 and has been located in North Fort Myers since 1990. Their main work is translation of Greek liturgical texts, making beeswax candles, and they have a food pantry for the needy. There are 3 monastics in residence.
