All visitors are welcome. However, according to the canons of the Holy Orthodox Church, only Orthodox Christians may be inside the Church during a service and official meals. Those of other faiths are asked to participate from the Narthex.
Visitors should phone beforehand, especially for an overnight stay. There are three guesthouses that can accomodate up to 50 overnight guests at one time, and a separate clergy guesthouse. The guestmaster will conduct a brief tour of the monastery and provide information about facilities, schedule of services, etc.
The Monastery of St. Anthony was founded by Archimandrite Ephrem of Philotheou Monastery on Mt. Athos, in July 1995.
